WHY WE DO THIS

For over a decade of my life I was exactly who Diwa was built for. Confused, wanting to change, knowing I needed to, and not knowing where to begin while trying to navigate an ocean of information.

I ended up spinning my tires on well-meaning but ill-informed advice from peers, wasting years online in a space more interested in profit than solutions — dietary fads, contradictory advice, products that overpromised and underdelivered. I wasted years finding out what didn’t work.

I went through that so you don’t have. Building a healthier life isn’t as complicated as it seems. 

It’s not easy, but it is simple — and slower than what the fitness industry wants to sell you. Wellness isn’t a destination you arrive at. It’s a daily practice.

Diwa offers an alternative to the typical fitness and wellness culture: A holistic total mind-body-spirit wellness practice, rooted in Filipino cultural values that emphasize our shared humanity, with exercise and nutritional information  built on strong scientific evidence, clear & critical thinking, and a deep devotion to a compassion that is motivated by a calling to help others.
